TEEN & ADULT SESSIONS FOR NEWMARKET AREA ONLY

Triptych Comedy Improv is running introductory improv classes in the Newmarket area. (Triptych operates independently of the Bad Dog Theatre with its own curriculum.)

Teen Level 100 Foundation Classes – 12 to 15 yrs

This nine week program is designed to help you think fast on your feet, boost your confidence and makes it easier to work in front of a crowd through the use of improvisational comedy. Join us for tons of laughs as you are introduced to concepts such as character, environment, genre, sharing focus, story telling and team work using  shortform/games improv. Please note there is no class May 5th.

There is no pre-requisite for this class

This ten week program is designed to introduce adults to the concept of improvisational theatre. Whether you use it for performance or every day life, in conversations, daily interactions with other people or even those little moments you have to yourself, everyone improvises. Our course teaches you how to recognize those moments and take full advantage of them. You will be introduced to improv concepts like acceptance, advancement, awareness and commitment, how to listen with your whole being, cooperating and complimenting your fellow performers and much more.

There is no Pre-requisite for this class

This ten week program takes those concepts introduced in the 101 classes and moves them to the next level as well as introducing new improv techniques like raising the stakes, from where to draw inspiration and scene work.

The pre-requisite for this class is successful completion of any Triptych Lounge or BAD DOG level 100 or with permission from the Triptych Artistic Director or course instructor.
