BAD DOG THEATRE COMPANY – INTERNS WANTED!

Are you passionate about entrepreneurship, marketing, branding, social media and professional development? Do you love comedy and have an interest in seeing Toronto’s artistic community develop and flourish? The Bad Dog Theatre is currently on the lookout for highly-motivated, skilled interns. We offer unpaid internships in Marketing & Communications, which include work in all of the following areas: new business development, marketing and sales, logistics, brand awareness, social media strategy — all relating to the growth and development of the Bad Dog Theatre as Toronto’s foremost producer of unscripted comedy & improvised performance.

We’re looking for two interns (PT) who:

  • Are technically savvy with media tools and software including social media platforms (Linkedin/Facebook/Twitter), Microsoft Office, and Photoshop
  • Have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Possess initiative and strong self-management skills
  • Can cheerfully deal with constant changes in direction, juggling many jobs at once and prioritizing tasks
  • Want a real chance to gain mentorship experience in arts administration, marketing, networking, selling, presenting, and managing

The successful interns may work in the following areas:

  • New business development/sales: developing ideas, leads, and generating a new audience and student base for Bad Dog shows, classes and programs
  • Brand Marketing: developing a social media strategy and implementing it, managing communications, and building brand awareness
  • Website and list management: extending our online presence and communications reach
  • Alumni involvement & support: establishing and maintaining relationships with the Bad Dog’s extensive alumni list and existing community
  • We are open to any new initiative the intern would like to engage in to develop his/her experience and skill set

About the Bad Dog Theatre
