Every year, holiday decorations go up earlier, there is a new toy that makes soccer moms bite each other and the sentimentality and treacle of the season gets thicker and thicker. But this year, the good folks at Bad Dog have the balls to tell it like it really is. This fully improvised show takes a close look at all the schmaltzy Christmas Special conventions and turns them on their ear! Christmas Blows provides a respite from the holiday goodwill and allows you to indulge your inner cynic at a time when everyone is cramming brotherhood and peace on Earth down your throat.
This show reunites many cast members of the Canadian Comedy Award Winning Show Stopping Number, (Aurora Browne, Ashley Botting, Carmine Lucarelli, Sandy Jobin Bevans) as well as 2009 Comedy Award Winners for Best Male and Female Improviser (Kerry Griffin and Jan Caruana) and one of the stars of Dan for Mayor (Paul Bates). Directed by Bad Dog mainstay Alastair Forbes (Theatresports, Second City Touring Company), Christmas Blows is a nog-fuelled musical romp through everything you love to hate about the holidays.
THREE SHOWS ONLY!
