From the Island of Misfit Toys to that mean one, Mr. Grinch… who can forget the barrage of animated holiday specials that streamed relentlessly from the TV’s of our childhoods each December to tell us that Christmas was coming? Whether it was “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” or “Frosty Comes To Town”, these shows were sugary sweet confections, laced with a resounding streak of morality barely hidden underneath all the fun.
“Frosty the Show… Man”, is a live improvised comedy, that brings together all of the Christmas characters from these classic stories. Only THIS story is set before any of them discover their fates as the famous holiday legends we know and love today. It’s Kris Kringle before he becomes Santa Claus! Rudolph without a sleigh to pull! Cindy Lou Who without the Grinch’s heart to soften! And they’re all living together, in their magical little city, where talking reindeers and elves are the norm, and absurdity is the name of the game. The show is an ode to the Christmas tales and characters we grew up with… aimed at the grown-ups we all became.
And, as with all improvised shows, the audience helps shape the stories they will tell…

Jason DeRosse (The Sketchersons, Hotbox), Hannah Hogan (YTV’s That’s So Weird, The Bench), Rob Norman (Second City TourCO, Mantown), Stephanie Kaliner (Ghost Jail, Comedy at the Ossington), Carmine Lucarelli (Show Stopping Number, Dreadwood), Danielle Watling (Second City Con Grad, Beyond the Moors), Jerry Schaefer (Gemini nominee, Second City Alumnus) and Kevin Matviw (Second City EdCO, Death Ray Cabaret).
Directed by multiple Canadian Comedy Award nominee Alex Tindal (PROJECTproject, The Sketchersons). Produced by Bad Dog Theatre and Hogan and Watling Productions.
