Following the heels of their smash spoof BattleAwesome AwesomeStar, The Bad Dog Theatre brings you a live, improvised epic drama based on the award-winning HBO Miniseries set in the heart of Ancient Rome. Second City alum Andrew Currie directs an all-star cast of Toronto’s improv veterans as they take on the big names in the Ancient World: JULIAN KAISER, powerful and ruthless Roman General and Dictator, the handsome and arrogant ANTHONY MARKHAM, and the haughty and aloof BRUTALUS. Together with national hero and Bacchic bad-boy POMPUS MAXIMUS, and the unforgiving self-lacerator LUCHOUS VORACIOUS, can they really stand up to the women of Rome? Proud, beautiful and selfish ATILLIA, CLEOPATRIX and PSYLLIUM have no intentions of sharing power with anyone who cannot SERVE THEM FIRST...

Relive the blood lust, depravity, and warm, fuzzy feeling you get watching a toga shift inappropriately or an orgy that forgot the grapes. Just remember to Semper Ubi Sub Ubi because this cast sure won’t!

Featuring Dave Pearce (Slap Happy), Aurora Browne (Best Female Improvisor, 2008 Canadian Comedy Awards), Jennifer Goodhue (Second City), Lisa Merchant (Train 48), Tom MacKay (Hot Doctors in Love), Rob Norman (BattleAwesome AwesomeStar), Kris Siddiqi (Dreadwood), Jan Caruana (Show Stopping Number), James Gangl (Dreadwood), Alastair Forbes (BattleAwesome AwesomeStar) and many special guests every week will show you how it REALLY went down in the Ancient World.

Half price admission is offered to anyone wearing togas to all performances, every week. The audience in invited to come hang out with the cast afterwards next door at the Black Swan (154 Danforth) for Bloody Caesars!
